The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Ex twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Fighter's Attitude
"I will injure his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Financial Attraction
Still, the relative newcomer continues to be one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for two years from now.
"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters participated in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity evident, it highlighted just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
